Spicy vegan black bean burgers
- Number of Servings: 6
Ingredients
Directions
1/4 cup grated onion3 garlic cloves, minced1/4 teaspoon each of cumin and chili powder1 teaspoon each of oregano and basil1/2 cup coarsely chopped sunflower seeds1 teaspoon sesame oil1 can black beans2 tablespoons of water1/2 cup of bread crumbs
I usually soak the sesame seeds for at least an hour before making these burgers. Then put them in a food processor and chop them until they make a rough paste, then add the black beans and roughly chop them.
Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl, if your mix is a bit too thin you can add some corn starch just to make them firm. This usually makes about six 3-inch patties. Cook them on medium heat until each side has a slight crust. Serve and enjoy!
