Homemade French Toast

Ingredients
1.5 cup Almond Breeze Almond Milk, Unsweetened Original12 slice White Bread1 large Egg, fresh1 tsp Cinnamon, ground, 1 tsp Nutmeg, ground, 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract, 1 tsp Brown Sugar1 tsp Splenda Sugar Blend for Baking
Directions
1. Combine all ingredients in a medium size mixing bowl (except the bread).
2. Dip bread on both sides until covered in batter and place on a greased (I used cooking spray) griddle (my griddle was 325 degrees. Cook on both sides until golden brown.

Serve with fruit topping or light syrup. Enjoy

    Hubby and I loved this recipe! We used cow's milk instead of almond (because that's what we had), all splenda, and twice the egg. I did find that the amount of batter was lacking, though, and had a hard time getting any for the last slice. - 1/8/10

    I used double the egg and 1/2 the nutmeg, and I still found this too nutmeg-y. I think I'd use 1/8 or a pinch of nutmeg and 1/2 the cinnamon if I use this recipe again. I like spices, but it was just too much. - 8/20/13
