Spicy Turkey Taco Soup

1 Pound Ground Turkey (93% lean, breast meat)1/2 Cup Chopped Onion2 Garlic Cloves, minced1 tbsp Cumin3 tsp Chili Powder2 10oz. Cans Canned Tomatoes with Green Chilies1/2 Cup Fat Free Half & Half2 Cups Chicken Stock (99% Fat Free, or Fat Free)8 oz. Cream Cheese, cubed (Fat Free)2 tbsp Diced Jalapenos (optional)Salt, to taste6 oz. Low Fat Shredded Cheese6 tbsp Reduced Fat or Fat Free Sour Cream
In a large pot, brown the turkey with the onion and garlic; drain.
Add spices and cook for about three minutes.
Add tomatoes, jalapenos, broth and half and half. Bring to a rolling boil and gradually add the cream cheese, stirring until completely melted and smooth.
Season with salt to taste.
Top each serving with 1 tablespoon of sour cream, and 1 oz. shredded cheese, if desired.
Makes about 6 one cup servings.

Great soup! Had a really good flavor and nice spice level. I had a bunch of other random veggies chopped up from a recipe earlier in the week, so I added shredded zucchini, chopped mushrooms, green peppers and some additional green chili's. A good soup to clean out the refrigerator with! - 2/9/10
