Butternut Squash soup with apples

Ingredients
2 T butter1 medium yellow onion, chopped3 lbs butternut squash, peeled and cubed6 cups home made turkey or chicken broth4 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled and diced1/4 t nutmeg1 t curry powdersalt & pepper to taste
Directions
In a large soup pot melt the butter and saute the onions until soft. Add the squash and broth. Simmer until squash is tender. Add the apples and spices. Use a blender or a masher to get the consistency you desire.
