3 cup sifted flour½ teaspoon salt1 teaspoon baking soda1 cup butter1 cup sugar½ cup packed brown sugar2 eggs2 Tablespoons water1 teaspoon vanilla½ lb Fannie May hostess mints (or Andes mints)Pecan halves
Sift together flour, soda, salt. Set aside. Cream butter. Add sugars. Add eggs, vanilla & water. Add flour. Cover & refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Take approximately 1 Tablespoon of dough and wrap around ½ an Andes mint (this is hardest thing to do. You just want enough dough to enclose the mint). Put on a greased cookie sheet. Top with a pecan half. Bake @ 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
Makes 5 dozen.
