lean meat chili

Ingredients
2 pounds 97% lean ground beef1 large yellow onion, diced2 medium cloves garlic, crushed2 - 3 ribs of clelery, washed and finely diced1 - 6 oz can tomato paste1- 15.5 oz (or larger if desired) diced tomatoes1 - 26.5 oz can hunt's meat spaghetti sauce4 - 15.5 oz. cans pinto beans1 Carroll Shelby's Chili kit ( I remove salt to lessen sodium)1 tbsp chili powder
Directions
In a skillet toss ground beef, onion, garlic, and celery until meat has cooked and set aside.
In a large dutch oven, all other ingredients and except the masa from the chili kit. Stir in the meat mixture. Cook over
medium heat until it begins to bubble then stir in the masa
until it is well blended. reduce heaat and continue cooking
another 5 minutes stirring occassionally.

serve hot with whole wheat toast or crackers
