Whole Wheat Buttermilk Belgian Waffles

Ingredients
1 cup whole wheat flour1 cup white flour2 tsp baking powder1 tsp baking soda1 tsp ground cinnamon2 T brown sugar6 T melted butter2 cups low fat buttermilk2 large eggs
Directions
Wisk dry ingredients together, add butter, eggs & buttermilk. Place 1/2 cup of batter into Belgian Waffle iron and cook as normal. Yields 7-8 servings. You can use a regular waffle iron, it will make about 12 waffles. Enjoy :)

    We LOVED this recipe, but it was NOT a really healthy one, due to the real butter! But, alas! It's Christmas break, so we indulged! Next time, I'll probably substitute apple sauce for most of the butter. - 12/31/14
