Simple Baked Ziti

Ingredients
1 box Barilla Plus penne (or other fortified pasta)1+ jar pasta sauce1 container ricotta1 egg, beaten2 cloves garlic2 cups shredded low-fat mozarella cheesesprinkling if grated paremsan cheeseoregano and basil to taste
Directions
Cook pasta to package directions
Meanwhile, mix ricotta, beaten egg, garlic, oregano and basil in bowl, until blended, mix in paremsan
spread thin layer of pasta sauce in bottom of square/rectangle baking dish
(I usually use 2 small dishes: one to bake and one to freeze)
Mix cooked pasta with remaining pasta sauce
If using 2 small baking dishes, layer in each: pasta, 1/2 ricotta mixture, sprinkle of mozzarella cheese, pasta mozarella cheese
If using one large casserole dish, repeat the layers
Cover loosely with foil and bake 50 minutes in 350 over
Remove foil and bake another 10-15 minutes
Serves 8-12 depending on how large you slice
