Ingredients:Wet Batter Ingredients2 large eggs¼ cup (50 mL) brown sugar1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla extract6 squares (1 oz /28geach) semi-sweet chocolate, melted½ cup (125 mL) unsalted butter, melted1 can (300 mL) Regular Eagle Brand® sweetened condensed milkDry Ingredients½ cup plus 2 tbsp (150 mL) all-purpose flour¼ cup (50 mL) unsweetened dark cocoa powder½ tsp (2 mL) baking powder¼ tsp (1 mL) saltAdditions (optional)½ cup (125 mL) chopped nuts
1. In large bowl, whisk eggs and sugar together. Add remaining wet batter ingredients in order, stirring well after each addition.
2. In separate bowl, sift dry ingredients together.
3. Stir dry ingredients into wet ingredients just until mixed. Stir in additions, if desired.
4. Pour into parchment-paper lined 9" (23 cm) non-stick square pan and bake in preheated 350°F (180°C) oven for 25-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center is almost dry. Cool completely on wire rack. Dust with icing sugar, if desired.
5. Cut into bars just before serving. Store tightly covered at room temperature.
