Maple Bran Muffins

3/4 cup natural wheat bran1/2 cup milk1/2 cup maple syrup1 egg, slightly beaten1/4 cup oil1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour1 1/2 tsp baking soda1/2 tsp saltGlaze:1 Tbsp butter, melted1/2 cup powdered sugar1 Tbsp maple syrup
1. Preheat oven to 400*. Grease muffin cups.
2. Combine bran, milk, and maple syrup.
3. Mix in egg and oil.
4. Combine remaining muffin ingredients in large mixing bowl.
5. Add bran mixture, stirring until just moistened.
6. Fill muffin cups 3/4 full.
7. Bake at 400* for 18-20 minutes.
8. Combine glaze ingredients, stirring to blend, and spread over warm muffins.
9. Makes 12 muffins.
