Slow Cooker Poached Pears

Ingredients
6 ripe pears, peeled, halved and cored1 c. red wine1/4 c. creme de cassis1/2 c. granulated sugar1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon (or one cinnamon stick)
Directions
1. Arrange pears in slow cooker (you may need to cut them into quarters to make them fit)

2. Combine wine, creme de cassis, and sugar in a mixing bowl. Stir well to dissolve sugar and pour over pears. Add cinnamon.

3. Cook on low 4-5 hours (or on high 2-2.5 hours) or until pears are tender. Serve warm or chilled.
