salmon-venison sausage soup

Ingredients
1 tbs bacon grease2 medium onions coarsley chopped6 ounces cooked venison sausage no fat added3 celery stalks coarsley chopped2 tbs minced garlic2 carrots peeled and diced3 cups diced raw yukon gold potatoes w skin (aprox 4 potatoes)1-14.75 ounce canned pink salmon with juice and bones2-cans fat free evaporated milk16 ounces water
Directions
In 5 quart pan add bacon, heat until med hot; add onions and sautee until tender, add the following ingredients and sautee on medium heat; celery, garlic, carrots, and potatoes. cook on medium low heat for aproximately ten minutes. add venison sausage and juice from salmon; cook for aproximately five minutes. add salmon, milk and water. simmer for 40 minutes. add salt and pepper to taste
