Ingredients
Ingredients:1 pound ground turkey1 pound turkey kielbasa, cut into 1/4 inch slices1 onion, chopped3 stalks celery3 cloves chopped garlic1 medium head cabbage, chopped1 (14.5 ounce) can stewed tomatoes14 1/2 fluid ounces water1 cup uncooked riceCajun Spice recipe:2 bay leaves, crushed or ground 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme 1/4 teaspoon dried or ground sage 1 teaspoon file powder 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard powder 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 1/2 teaspoon ground white pepper 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon onion powder (optional) 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
Directions
In a large stock pot over medium high heat, combine ground turkey, kielbasa, onion, celery and garlic. Cook until beef is evenly brown. Stir in cabbage, tomatoes, water and rice. Season with cajun spice. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and cook for 35 to 40 minutes, or until rice is done. Serves 6-8.
