Mild chili

Ingredients
10 oz. ground turkey, browned, crumbled and drained of fat2 medium onions, chopped1 clove garlic, minced6 oz. baby bella mushrooms, sliced1 can diced tomatoes1 can tomato paste1 can Brook's mild chili beans1/2 tsp. chili powder1 tsp. ground cumin
Directions
Makes 4 generous servings.

Brown ground turkey in crumbles, drain off fat. Add onion, mushrooms and garlic, saute until onions are tender. Add tomatoes, tomato paste and beans. Season with chili powder and cumin. Simmer 20 to 30 minutes.

I keep mine warm in the oven in a covered pot until I am ready to serve. I sometimes add cheese (and extra calories) and serve with homemade cornbread. See Galley Cornbread recipe)
