Quinoa Apple Crisp (Gluten/Dairy Free)

Ingredients
7 Granny Smith apples1 tsp. cinnamon1/2 tsp. nutmeg1/4 tsp. cloves1/4 cup sugar1 cup quinoa flakes1/2 cup brown sugar1/4 cup Spectrum palm shortening
Directions
Peel and dice apples. Put into a greased casserole dish and toss with sugar and spices.

In a seperate bowl, mix brown sugar with quinoa flakes. Cut shortening in with a fork.

Sprinkle quinoa mixture over apples.

Bake at 375 for 45-50 minutes.

We play with the spice mixture every time we make this, the measurements are mostly a suggestion. We also add other spices as we want - ginger is good in it, too.

Makes 8 very good sized servings.
