Beef 'N' Green Bean Pie

1 pound ground beef1/2 cup chopped onion1/4 cup chopped green pepper1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce1 can (14 1/2 oz) green beans, drained1/2 tsp salt1/4 tsp garlic salt1 tube (8 oz) refrigerated cresccent rolls1 egg2 cups (8 oz) shredded cheddar cheese, divided
In a skillet over medium heat, cook beef, onion, and green pepper until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the tomato sauce, beans and salts. Simmer for 8 minutes or until heated through. Meanwhile, separate crescent dough into 8 triangles; place in an ungreased 9- in pie plate with points toward the center. Press onto the bottom and up the sides to form a crust; seal perforations.
In a bowl, beat egg and 1 cup cheese; spread over crust. Stir 1/2 cup cheese into meat mixture; spoon into crust. Sprink with remaining cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 375 for 20-25 minutes. Let stand for 5 mintues. Yields 8 servings.
