French beans 454 gms (frozen cut french beans 1 packet) coconut fresh shredded (can use frozen shredded coconut) 60-70 gmsRai (black mustard seeds) 1 tspUrad dal 1 tspJeera (cumin) 1 tspoil 1 tsp
1) Wash the cut french beans
2) Heat the oil in a stirfry pot and add the rai, jeera & urad dal
3) Once the rai begins to crackle, add the french beans & 2 cups of water.
4) Add the salt & the chilli powder and let the beans cook
5) Once the beans are cooked, add the coconut & mix well.
6) Take cooked beans off the heat (coconut must not be cooked on the direct heat for too long)
7) Serve with rice & sambhar or rasam for a traditional Tamilian meal
