Creamy Leeks

Ingredients
3 leeks (approx. 1 lb.)3 slices of bacon3 slices American cheesedash of saltdash of nutmeg
Directions
Lightly brown bacon in a medium saucepan. Then add sliced, cleaned leeks. Stir occasionally to prevent burning. After 5-10 minutes, add cheese, 1 slice at a time, stirring inbetween. After final slice of cheese is added, cook on low for 5-10 more minutes, stir occasionally.
Should be of a creamy consistency when time is up.

    This was the first time I tried leeks and I'm sorry I haven't tried them sooner. They were great! I didn't add the cheese to cut down on the calories. Tasted great all the same - 9/30/11
