Sheila's Pink Sweet & Sour Sauce

Ingredients
1 c pineapple juice (reserved from can of pineapple chunks if you are making my S & S Chicken Skewers)1/4 c white vinegar1/4 c granulated sugardash of salt (to taste)1/4 c maraschino cherry juice1 T cornstarch
Directions
Makes 8 - 1/2 c servings

In a sauce pan, over medium heat, combine pineapple juice, white vinegar, sugar and salt. Bring to a gentle boil. Combine the cherry juice and cornstarch to make a slurry. Add the slurry into the gently boiling pineapple juice mixture. Lower the heat and stir until desired thickness. (More cornstarch may be used if a thicker sauce is desired.)

Use to baste S & S Chicken Skewers while cooking and as a dipping sauce.
