Killajen's no fuss rice pilaf

Ingredients
*Rice, Kraft Minute Whole Grain Brown Rice, 1 cup*Ocean Spray, Craisins Orange Flavor Sweetened Dried Cranberries, 1/3 cup (30g), 1.5 serving *Onions, raw, .5 cup, chopped *Swanson Chicken Broth 99% Fat Free, 1-1/4 cup *Almond Accents - Roasted Garlic Caeser, 2 tbsp *Butter, salted, 1 pat (1" sq, 1/3" high)
Directions
in a medium sized sauce pan melt butter and add onion. Saute' until slightly browned.

Add chicken broth-bring to a boil then add the craisins and rice, stir and bring heat down to a low simmer.

Cook for 10 minutes. Don't peak!

After cooking add almonds and fluff with fork. Cover and let sit for about 3 minutes.

makes 4 to 5 1/2 cup servings

    I made this using regular long grain brown rice and some wild rice. It was delish! I also added chopped celcer which added a nice crunch. Instead of butter I used some sesame oil which also added a nice flavor. I could live on this everyday! - 11/27/10
