Crockpot Vegetable Soup

300grams smoked bacon bones (very lean)100 grams Pearl Barley1 Packet Kings dry soup mix (or watties)2 teaspoons maggi chicken stock A couple of large onions (or a leek)2 cups diced carrots1.5 cups diced celery 1 cup of swede, or kumera (red potatoe)(can also add fresh corn cornals, beans etc)18 cups of water
Put all ingredients into a crock pot and cook on high for about 5hrs, (or slower if you wish) once slowly bubbling, I turned back to Automatic.
Or you can cook in pot, by adding water, bones, stock and soup mix and bringing to the boil, and then adding veges and boil slowly until veges are cooked.
