Creamy Potato Asparagus Soup

4 cups diced red potatoes, 1 bunch asparagus (24 stems) diced, 1 medium onion diced, 2 1/2 cups no chicken broth and 1 1/2 cup water, salt & pepper to taste.
combine potatoes, broth, onion and spices. cook until potatoes are tender. add chopped asparagus and cook until they turn bright green. by batches puree soup in blender (you can leave some unpureed if you like a chunkier soup). reheat pureed soup and serve.
