Snickerdoodles

Ingredients
.5 C butter softened 1 egg room temp1 C granulated suger1 tsp vanilla extract (real)1.5 C flour (or mix 3/4 each white and wheat)1/4 tsp baking powder1/2 tsp cream of tartar2 tsp sugar 1 tbsp ground cinnamon Oven to 375F
Directions
Beat butter with mixer for 30 seconds, then add the 1 c sugar and mix well. Add egg and vanilla; mix well. Finally, add flour, baking powder and cream of tartar and mix through. Chill dough in fridge for 1 hour. In a small bowl, mix the remaining cinnamon and suger for rolling the dough in before baking. After dough has chilled, use hands to roll it into 1 inch balls. Roll these balls through the cinnamon and sugar mixture and place 12 inches apart on a baking sheet. Bake in a 375F oven for 10-11 minutes.
