Hungarian Chicken Paprikash

1 large onion, chopped1/4 cup butter, cubed8 chicken breast halves2 T paprika1 tsp salt1/2 tsp pepper1 1/2 cups hot water2 T cornstarch2 T cold water1 cup fat free sour cream
In a large skillet, saute onion in butter until tender. Sprinkle chicken with paprika, salt and pepper; place in an ungreased roasting pan. Spoon onion mixture oer the chken. Add hot water. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours or until chicken uices run clear.
Remove chicken and keep warm. In a small saucepan, combine cornstarch and cold water until smooth. Whisk in pan juices with onion. Bring to a boil over medium heat; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Remove from the heat. Stir in sour cream. Serve with chicken. Yield 12 servings.

This is similar to my grandma's receipe in some ways but in other ways not. The way it should be cooked is -paprikas, onion, sweet bell pepper, salt & peper should be cooked slightly in the pan or skillet - add the chicken to the pan and after it's browned a little bit pull it and...not enough room! - 1/6/09
