Sugar Free Tart Apple Crumble

4-5 apples, thinly sliced2 tbs lemon juice1/3 c water1tbs nutmeg2 tbs cinnamon1/4 c applesauce1/3 c flourOptional ingredients:1/4 c Uncooked instant oatmeal (plain)chopped walnuts or pecans to tasteCrystal Light powdered, low calorie pink lemonade mix (or other fruit flavor) to taste
Preheat oven to 375 F
In 8" pie pan, lay thinly sliced apples, dusting nutmeg and cinnamon over them lightly as you layer. Pour water and lemon juice over them.
Put flour in bowl and mix in 1 tbs cinnamon and 1/2 tbs nutmeg. Combine slowly with applesauce until the dry mixture starts sticking together and has a "crumble" appearance.
Do not over mix or it will turn into a more dough-like state. (If more sweetness desired, sprinkle in the optional Crystal Light drink powder to taste. For more texture, add in oatmeal and nuts)
Sprinkle flour mixture over sliced apples and bake for 50 minutes.
Makes approximately 8 slices.
