Barefoot Contessa Maple oatmeal scones

Ingredients
3 1/2 cups flour1 cup whole wheat flour1 cup quick oats, dry2 Tbsp. baking powder2 Tbsp. sugar1 tsp salt1 pound cold butter1/2 cup cold buttermilk1/2 cup maple syrup (real)4 eggs, lightly beatenGlaze:1 1/4 cup powdered sugar1 Tsp vanilla1/2 cup maple syrup2 Tbsp butter
Directions
Into a mixer bowl with the paddle attachment, put flours, oats, sugar, baking powder, salt. Add dicced cold butter and beat until resembles small peas. Mix buttermilk, syrup, eggs; add wet to dry and mix until just combined. Dump out onto floured board. Knead lightly a couple of times until smooth; roll out 3/4 inch thick. Cut into 3 inch rounds. Place on silpat lined sheet. Brush with egg wash. Bake 400 20-25 min until golden. Meanwhile, mix glaze in food processor until smooth. Spoon or drizzle over warm scones, sprinkle with a few oats. Makes 25
