Beef Barley Soup

1.5 lb sirloin steak, sliced into .75 inch chunks 28 oz beef broth 1 19 oz can crushed tomatoes1 cup chopped carrots 1 cup chopped celery 1 cup chopped onion 3 cloves garlic miniced .5 cup water 1 tsp crushed thyme1/3 cup pearl barley2-3 bay leaves
Combine ingredients in slow cooker. Stir to mix. Cook on high for 4 to 5 hours or on low for 9 to 11 hours. Once cooking complete, remove and discard bay leaves.
