3 cups flour2 tsp baking powder. 1 tsp salt4-6 tbsp shortening/butter, (if using butter decrease salt .5 tsp)*1 cup warm water* calorie counts for this recipe include I Can't Believe It's Not butter
Makes 15 small, thin tortillas.
Mix dry ingredients first then add butter (I cut it up into small pieces to make it easier). Slowly add warm water until mixed well but not too sticky. Knead a few times and let sit for 10 mins. Pull off golf sized balls and roll as thin as you can. Cook on medium heat dry pan until yellowish color turns more white (about 2 min per tortilla).
