Slow Cook Barbeque Country Pork Ribs

Ingredients
2 lbs country pork ribs1/4c brown sugar1/4c Twin brown sugar (substitute)1/2c water1/4c apple cider vinegar1/4c ketchup1 tbsp cornstarch1 tsp lemon juice3 tbsp low sodium soy sauce –separated2 tbsp sugar free maple syruppepper & salt to taste
Directions
In small container mix 2 tbsp soy sauce and 2 tbsp SF maple syrup. Place ribs upon broiling pan, lightly sprayed with cooking spray. Using half, baste ribs and place in oven to broil for 10 minutes. In small sauce pan mix together brown sugar, water, vinegar, ketchup, cornstarch, lemon juice, 1 tbsp soy sauce and bring to a boil. Flip ribs, baste again with remaining basting half and return to oven to broil another 10 minutes. Place broiled ribs in slow cooker and pour mixture from sauce pan over ribs, cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. Add a small amount of water during cook time if necessary.

    I made this with some pork back rib "ends" that were on sale. I did not have the sugar free products, so I just used 1/4 c real brown sugar (only, no sugar free) and the 2 Tbsp of real maple syrup. Turned out well, we will have this again. - 3/10/18
