Ingredients
1 Box Brownie Mix1 Can 15 oz Black Beans
Directions
Drain and rinse beans. Place back in can, then fill can with water. Dump can in blender or food processer and puree. In a mixing bowl, mix together dry brownie mix with pureed beans. Pour in pan prepared per back of brownie mix. Be sure the mix is poured in as evenly as possible: because of the thickness of the batter, it will not level out during baking. Bake in oven according to directions on brownie mix. You may need to bake a little longer to cook through. Makes 16 servings.

I also made these with Duncan Hines Dark Chocolate Fudge Family Style Brownies (8x13 pan). They came out chewy style and I love them! - 2/6/11

I've made these now with the Ghirardelli Dk. and the Betty Crocker Dk. Brownie mixes and the Ghirardelli is vastly superior. It's moister, richer, and that's what I'm using from now on!

I'm amazed. The brownies still tasted like brownies! My husband and kids couldn't tell that there was anything "funny" about them. (And trust me: they are picky and can usually tell right away when I try to make something with "odd" ingredients.) - 7/13/11

Super good. I used the Dark Chocolate Ghiradelli mix and black beans/water as recipe stated. I put mix into a greased 9x13 pan and baked at 325 for about 25 minutes. So good! - 1/5/20

Oh my goodness!! I made these with a mix designed for a 13x9 pan, added the zest of an orange, and sprinkled some powdered sugar on top (a TBSP of powdered sugar divided by 20 brownies adds less than 2 calories). SO GOOD. Can't wait to take these to work tomorrow! - 7/4/13

I really enjoyed this and couldn't detect any taste that I would identify as black bean. I particularly liked the fudgy texture, as that is the texture I prefer in brownies normally. I used Ghiradelli Double Chocolate mix and would try this again with a lower calorie mix to see if it is equally good - 6/13/13

These are the only kind of brownies I make now, though I make mine in a mini muffin tin. So much more nutritious and when warm, soooooooooo delicious! <3 - 11/9/12

WOWZA! I have to admit, I used a DH Dark Chocolate Cake mix that I had on hand, but these turned out great! Baked along side brownies made with pumpkin, and these were my favorite, hands down. - 3/24/12

This recipe is amazing! My husband (who hates any type of bean) said if all bean recipes tasted like this he would eat beans all of the time! My 7 yr old son gave it 2 thumbs up! Yummy:) - 4/4/11

I'm passing this "recipe" on to my daughter and colleagues who couldn't believe that black beans could taste so good! - 3/1/11

I made these yesterday with Duncan Hines - wanted to buy a cheaper brand in case they weren't so good. I was surprised!! Not quite the same texture, but the nutritional exchange from eggs/oil to black beans is well worth it!!! Very good & definitely fulfills those chocolate cravings! - 4/3/10
