1 lb. sweet Italian sausage1 lb. ground round, extra lean1 t, oregano1 t. basil1/2 t. salt1/2 t. fennel seeds1/8 t. garlic powder8 2 oz. sub rolls4 oz. part skim mozzarella1 c. tomato-basil pasta sauce
Preheat grill. Combine sausage, beef and seasonings and shape into 8 equal portions, or make into 16 smaller portions to fit into the sub roll. Grill for 5 minutes, turn over and grill another 2 minutes. Put cheese on top of patties and grill another 5 minutes (until inner temp is 165). Remove from grill and let stand 5 minutes while you toast the cut rolls on the grill. Put the patties on the rolls, put some pasta sauce on top of them and top with the other half of the roll.
