Vanilla Rich Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
3 cups flour1 teaspoon baking soda3/4 teaspoon salt1/3 cups butter, softened1 cup unsweetened apple sauce1 1/4 cups splenda 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar2 eggs4 teaspoons Vanilla Extract1 package (12 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Mix flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.

2. Beat butter, sugars, eggs and extract in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until creamy. Gradually mix in flour mixture. Do not over process since we have substituted apple sauce for butter. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop dough by rounded tablespoons about 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets.

3. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until bottoms are browned. Cool on baking sheets 1 minute. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.

Will make at least 36 (130 Calorie) if not 48 (97 Calorie) cookies.
