Fennel & Italian Sausage pasta

1 medium fennel bulb, cleaned and sliced1 carrot, chopped1 large onion, diced1 package of kroger penne rigate1 package of kroger sweet italian sausage1 jar bertolli olive oil & garlic pasta sauce2 tblsp. olive oil
Prepare pasta per instructions
Chop veggies
Remove casing from sausage and cook in 1 tblsp. of olive oil, breaking up and browning thoroughly. Reserve from pan with a slotted spoon and cook veggies in the same pan and add another tblsp. of olive oil if needed.
Once veggies are properly cooked, add pasta sauce and return sausage. Cook thoroughly and then serve over pasta.
