Ingredients
2 qt water2 lb ground beef (or pork)1 large onion2 1/2 C steel cut oatssage, to tasteoil for pan cooking
Directions
Boil water, add raw beef into water.
Add chopped onion and sage.
Add oats.
Simmer 2 hours or until water is absorbed and mixture is quite thick.
Separate into 2 loaf pans. Chill at least 2 hours.
Slice into 1/2" portions and cook with oil in non-stick pan.
Great served with eggs! Can store loaf pans in frig up to one week, and cook individual portions as needed.
