Sauerkraut made easy

This recipe was given to my by a friend and I added a little brown sugar to it for taste.We buy our sauerkraut at the Polish store. But you can use a large can of sauerkraut too.one medium onionlow saltpepperpaprikaa little garlic powder1 heaping Tbl. of brown sugarCaraway seed,to your liking.
Fry onion in a little olive oil.
Open the can of sauerkraut and squeeze the juice out of it,,at least 3 times and run it under warm water.
Add salt and pepper,paprika and garlic powder .
Add a little more paprika to make it darker.
I add about 1 Tbl. brown sugar for taste.
You can add caraway seed also.
You might want to add a little water during cooking period.
Should serve about 12 servings.
