Whole Wheat Bisquits

Ingredients
2 C. whole wheat flour5 t. baking powder1 T. sugar3/4 t. salt1/4 C. butter or margarine1 C. milk
Directions
In a medium bowl, combine dry ingredients. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in milk until mixture is moistened. Knead 8-10 times on lightly floured surface. Roll to 3/4 inch thickness and cut with a 2.5" bisquit cutter (or a glass). Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 10-12 minutes, until bisquits are golden brown.

Makes 12 bisquits.

(Add 1 t. garlic and 3/4 C. grated cheddar for a garlic cheese bicquit.)
