Stir fry shrimp and asparagus

1 clove garlic1 tsp fresh ginger-grated1tsp peanut oil1 lb asparagus1 lb shrimp1 c mushrooms - sliced4T lite soy sauce1T cornstarchwater
Clean asparagus and chop into 1 1/2" pieces. If not using prepared mushrooms and shrimp do these now. Heat oil in heavy skillet or wok. Add garlic and ginger and stir for about 30 seconds. Add Asparagus and mushrooms and cook for about 2 min. Add shrimp and cook until about 1/2 done. Add soy sauce and reduce slightly. Mix a little water with cornstarch and add to thicken sauce. This should be just enough to give the ingredients a nice glaze. Serve with rice or noodles if desired. 4 generous servings
