Heirloom Tomato Sauce

1 Tbsp Olive Oil1 small Onion, chopped4 cloves Garlic, minced1 cup Mushrooms, sliced5 large Heirloom tomatoes, chopped1/2 cup Red Wine1 small jar quartered marinated Artichoke hearts15-25 fresh Basil leaves, chopped
1. Heat Olive Oil in large pot.
2. Sautee onion & garlic until tender
3. Add mushrooms & sautee further
4. Add tomatoes, wine, artichoke hearts and basil leaves.
5. Bring to a boil, then turn heat to low and allow to simmer for about 10 minutes.
Serve on top of the pasta of your choice. Makes 6 servings.
TIP: If you prefer a sweeter tomato sauce, add 2 tsp of sugar or splenda.
