Basic Crockpot Lentil Soup

Ingredients
Approx 20 baby carrots1 cup chopped onion1 cup chopped celery hearts2 cans (15oz)College Inn low sodium fat free chicken broth4 cups water1 package (1lb) brown lentils
Directions
Rinse the lentils and check for small stones
chop celery,onions and carrots
add all ingredients into a crock pot
cook on high for 4-5 hrs until lentils are tender

serves approx 12 (approx 1 cup) medium size bowls
can salt to taste
can also add cumin,curry powder,seasonings to change flavors

can also make on stovetop in dutch oven-simmer time approx 1.5hrs.
