Ingredients
Directions
2 TB Olive Oil, 2 cloves garlic minced, two cans (28 oz.) diced tomatoes no salt added with their liquid, 2 cups water, 3 bay leaves or 1 tsp crushed bay leaves, 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper or 1 tsp hot pepper sauce, 1 tsp spenda, dash kosher salt and pepper.
In a saucepan, heat the oil. Add the garlic and cook over moderated heat, stirring, until golden. Add the tomatoes and their liquid, the water, bay leaves, crushed pepper or pepper sauce, and sugar. Season with salt and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened, about 45 minutes. Discard the bay leaves. Working in batches, puree the sauce in a blender. Transfer to a bowl; season with salt and pepper.
