Portabella Mushroom Burgers

Ingredients
balsamic vinegar, 4 tbspOlive Oil, 2 tbsp Basil, 1 tspOregano, ground, 1 tsp *Fresh Garlic Minced, 1 tbspSalt, 1 dash, optionalPepper, black, 1 dash, optional3 Portabella Mushroom Caps, 3-4" in diameterPepper Jack Cheese, 3 slicesOnions, 2 large, sliced3 Sandwich rolls, toasted
Directions
Whisk together Balsamic Vinegar, olive oil, basil, oregano, garlic, salt and pepper. Place mushroom caps in a baking dish and pour marinade over them. Turn every 5 minutes for 15 minutes, basting with marinade each time.

Meanwhile, peel and slice 2 large onions and sautee and carmelize (to top mushroom caps before serving).

Place mushroom caps on a rack in a metal baking dish and broil approximately 8-minutes on each side, brushing with marinade frequently. Add a slice of pepper jack cheese to each mushroom cap the last two minutes of cooking.

Assemble sandwich and enjoy.
