Cherry-chipolte bbq sauce

Ingredients
1 cup fresh or frozen (thawed) dark sweet cherries, pitted and chopped1/2 cup reduced-sodium chicken broth1/3 cup no-added sugar cherry preserves1/3 cup ketchup2 tablespoons cider vinegar1-1/2 teaspoons minced canned chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, or more to taste1-1/4 teaspoons dried thyme1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
Directions
Stir cherries, broth, preserves, ketchup, vinegar, chipotle peppers, thyme and allspice in a small deep bowl. Use as glaze for grilled protein (turkey or chicken) when meat is almost cooked through.
