Baked Falafel Cakes

1 can of Garbanzo beans1 onion chopped fine2 cloves of garlic chopped3 basil leaves chopped1 tbsp dried parsley flakes1 tbsp of lemon juice1 tbsp olive oil2 tbsp flour1 tsp baking powder
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Drain and rinse the garbanzo beans. Put in a medium sized bowl and smash with a fork or potato smasher. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well using your hands to incorporate all ingredients. Form into small balls, about 1 1/2″ in diameter and slightly flatten (for crispier falafel flatten completely). Place onto an oiled baking pan.
Bake for 15 minutes on each side, until nicely browned (since it’s baked, only the part actually touching the pan will be browned and crispy).
Serve with salad or Pitas.
