Ingredients
Directions
1-20 oz. pkg. ground turkey, very lean1/2 cup finely chopped white onion1 large egg1/4 tsp. ground oregano (or 1 tsp. leaves)2 tsp. basil leaves1 tsp. garlic powder1/4 cup parmesan (I use fresh and grate it myself)3/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
The best way to get the flavors together is to add all the ingredients EXCEPT the panko in the morning and let sit in the fridge until you're ready to cook. I like to use a ziploc bag, but a covered bowl is fine too.
When you're ready to bake them, preheat oven to 400. Add the panko and mix well. Roll into approx. 1 oz balls (you might get slightly more than 30 meatballs since you added other ingredients). Bake for 25-30 minutes or until meatballs are nice and brown. You can bake them on a rack on a cookie sheet or on a draining broiler pan if you prefer to have the juice/fat drain from the meatballs.
Add to your favorite sauce once they're done and enjoy over your favorite pasta.
