Wash and cut potatoes into pieces. Boil until soft. Add butter, sour cream and garlic salt and mash with electric mixer or by hand. I don't peel the potatoes but do remove eyes.
Makes 4 to 6 servings, depending on whether you are feeding guys with big appetites.
