Thai Cantaloupe Salad

Ingredients
1 large, ripe, frangrant cantaloupe, peeled and cut into bite-sized pieces1/3 cup fresh basil, thinly sliced1 jalapeno, diced (seeded or not), use a red chile for more heat3 to 4 Tbsp fresh lime juice (about 1 lime)1/2 tsp fish sauce (more or less to taste)Generous pinch sugarCoarse salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Directions
Gently toss all ingredients together. Taste and adjust amounts of fish sauce, lime juice, sugar, salt and pepper to preference. Serve immediately or chill for a few hours.
