Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
I Can't Believe It's Not Butter, Light Spread (Stick), 1 whole stick Granulated Sugar, 0.5 cupBrown Sugar, 0.5 cup, packed Vanilla Extract, 1 tbsp Egg, fresh, 1 large *Flour, white, 1 cup *Whole Wheat Flour, 0.5 cup Baking Soda, 0.5 tsp Salt, 1 dashSemisweet chocolate, 1 cup chips (6 oz package)1 teaspoon hot waterWalnuts, 1 oz (14 halves) (remove)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream together the butter, sugars until smooth. Beat in the egg and stir in the vanilla. Dissolve baking soda in hot water. add to batter along with salt. Stir in flour, chips and nuts. drop by larg spoonfuls onto ungreased sheet pan. Bake for 10 minutes or until edges are browned. If you are diabetic use Splenda in place of both sugars.
