Pork Chops Paprikash

3 Tbsp. butter (or oil)2 large onions, sliced into rings1 Tbsp. paprika1 tsp garlic powder1 lb. pork chops, bone-in center cut pork chops, visible fat removed1/2 cup sauerkraut, well drained2 Tbsp.sour cream, light or low fatSalt and Pepper to taste
1.Preheat broiler with rack 4 or 5 inches from heat.
2.Melt butter in large skillet over medium-high heat. 3.Seperate onions into individual rings into hot butter in skillet.Cook, stirring occasionally, until tender and golden brown.
4.Meanwhile, sprinkle 2 teaspoons paprika, garlic powder. salt and pepper over both sides of pork chops. Place chops on rack of broiler pan.
5.Broil for 10 minutes. Turn and broil until chops are no lnoger pink in the center, about 10 minutes more.
6.Combine cooked onion with drained sauerkraut, sour cream and remaining teaspoon of paprika; mix well.
7.Spread hot onion mixture on a serving plate and place pork chops on top.
