Dad's Tomato Paste Gravy

Ingredients
1 stick of butter1 T olive oil1 med onion chopped1 sprig rosemary1 can tomato pasteone glass of red wine typically thrown in
Directions
Heat oil and butter together. Chop onion while this is heating. Cook onion until tender. Add rosemary and stir. Add tomato paste and 2-3 cans of water. Stir together and simmer for about 30-45 min. Add wine at some point to thin the sauce. Serve over pasta.

My guess is this would make 8 main course servings depending on how much or little you want on your pasta.
