Black-eyed peas (cowpeas), immature seeds, cooked, boiled, drained, with salt, 1 cup (remove)Olive Oil, 1 1tsp (remove)Garlic, 1 clove (remove)*chopped green chillies, 0.5 oz (remove)Ginger, ground, 1 tbsp (remove)*asafoetida (hing), 0.25 tsp (remove)
Put 2 times thes the water as the black eyeed peas and pressure cook or stove top cook till they become soft. Heat the oil and add the mustard seeds, asafoetida powder,finely chopped ginger,garlic and curry leaves, fry for few seconds and add the cooked black eyed peas...finally add the grated coconut to the seasoned black eyed peas and put off the stove..
